So 2011 on paper looked like it was going to be a dry boring year. Money wasn't as good as previous years and job wise I had no 'career' in sight.
The last 2-3 years were the best years of my life by far and probably will be for some time to come. I was working for myself earning a great income working hours I wanted to work with so much flexibility. I ended up going on 6 holidays last year and generally had some amazing weekends out with friends.
This year came and money dried up a little and I started to get really stressed about where my life was going, I didn't want to go into working 9-5 for pennies, I wanted the flexible lifestyle and all the fun that came with it.
Anyway, it came about I was offered a job at an awesome company doing what I was doing for myself, which has given me leeway to carry on working for myself alongside the job, a new car has come into my life and most recently I've got my foot on the property ladder, I've got a mortgage on a new apartment.
This year hasn't been about spending money and holidays, it's been about getting my life sorted and the fact a new job car and apartment have come in the space of 4 months is awesome. So here's to me! Cheers!
